Gut week: Maca smoothie with avocado, pear, apple and mint
If you’re looking to jump start your mornings or get out of a breakfast rut, this maca smoothie will be your new favourite. It’s chock full of vitamins, plus the pear and avocado give it a gorgeous Instagram-worthy hue.
Makes 1 litre
850ml unsweetened almond milk
100g pear, peeled and cored
100g apple, peeled and cored
150g avocado, peeled and stoned
10g fresh mint leaves
15g maca powder
Juice of ½ a lime
Make sure all ingredients are well chilled. Pile into a jug blender and blitz together until smooth. Serve the smoothie in glasses over ice.
