family fitness cancer research UK muddy kidsSpring is the perfect time to get outdoors with the family, and with more and more inclusive events popping up each year, there’s something to suit everybody. Sign up and get in training for one of these family-friendly adventures:

Pretty Muddy Kids
Part of the Cancer Research UK Race For Life series, this is a muddy obstacle race for girls and boys under 12 but adults are needed to run alongside and supervise.

Tough Mudder
The UK’s biggest and most successful obstacle-course race series, with an emphasis on teamwork. There’s a ‘Mini Mudder’ 1-mile kids’ race at each of them.

The Little Welly
A kids’ fitness festival that travels round Surrey, Kent, Hertforshire and Oxfordshire, with everything from laser tag to pony rides, a climbing wall to trampolines.

The Color Obstacle Rush 
Because big kids like being pelted with pigment as much as little ones.

Go Fest Family Fitness Festivals
Take part in races and relays, participate in dance and fitness classes, get free sports coaching or have a go at 40 to 50 different activities and get all the family fired up about fitness.

Race for Life Hike
One for older kids, or perhaps the extended family or grandparents – you must be at least 16 years old for these day-long hikes. Explore the great outdoors and get some fresh air whilst raising money for life-saving research.
