There is now less than a week until the big race day and I am really feeling the pressure to knuckle down and push myself harder than ever. For the past week I have been running 30 minutes every morning and swimming laps in the pool for 20 minutes in the afternoons, as well as doing some indoor aerobics. My diet has been exceptional, grilled fish, chicken and vegetables with barely any fatty snacks. I allow myself a break day on Sundays, when I don´t exercise and I relax my diet slightly.
All my hard work was proved worthwhile this week while shopping for new jeans and discovering I had officially dropped a dress size. I am pumped and ready to compete in the adidas 5K challenge on Sunday in Hyde Park. I am so happy I decided to take part in this challenge, I think it has given me the motivation to permanently change my lifestyle. The changes in my body and the increase in my energy levels are so obvious that I know I will continue to exercise and eat well long after I cross that finish line.
