Week 2: Jess trains for a 5k…

My second week of training began with a pleasant change of scenery – I’m on holiday in Spain.

I must say, staying in a luxury villa in Spain is an excellent motivation for exercise. The constant bikini wearing makes it an absolute necessity to try and get into shape. The only downside is that the extreme heat has made it quite difficult to run as far as I would like to.

But by combining indoor exercise, like yoga and abdominal crunches, with late afternoon runs, I have managed to stick to my training plan. I have found the hot weather has made also made a huge impact on my diet. I have found myself swapping fatty snacks for cold drinks and fruit.

After two weeks of hard work i am finally seeing some results. When you realise your clothes are slightly looser, and you can run slightly further, it helps you overcome the temptation to go off track. All in all I am feeling strong, positive and healthier than I have in years.
